So here it is, Our first review. For this review we decided to try out Vape King, A family run business based in Magaliessig, Johannesburg. As you may have figured out by now we are based in Cape Town however and so this review will focus largely on their online store. So let’s get going.
We’ve been debating for a few days now over what to review and where to get new devices from. We wanted some new toys but didn’t want to break the bank. While Fasttech had great prices, We are very impatient and decided we may go insane waiting for our new devices to arrive. Enter Vape King! We remembered browsing their site awhile back and went to go check out what they may have to solve this issue.
We were basically on the prowl for a Kayfun clone and a nice dripper. Within minutes we had found the Kayfun 3.1 clone by Yeahsmo as well as the Patriot RDA clone, also by Yeahsmo. I clicked add to cart and then remembered that it was 1AM on Thursday morning and I began to worry that I was going to have to wait all weekend for my package to arrive. I took a quick look at the shipping info and to my surprise, something I could have only dreamt of! Flat rate overnight Shipping. Thats all it took for me to proceed to checkout and get this order finalised.
Now most online sites require you to have a credit card in order to utilise them however Vape King facilitates payment via EFT or Credit card so all you need is active internet banking and you’re good to go. I chose the EFT option as I was too lazy to find my credit card and was told to make payment when receiving my order confirmation email.
The next morning I woke up to see my confirmation email (Which had actually arrived shortly after placing the order in the middle of the night) and after checking with Vape King that this was the correct mail to make payment after, logged in and tried to make the EFT and then disaster struck, My account was unable to add beneficiaries as it is fairly new and still being verified. Now what? The bank wouldn’t be able to transfer the money in time for my order to be shipped in time and I wanted this gear before the weekend. I then noticed that the site has a re-order function which also allows you to change your billing option and I could quickly pay via my card which I now had on me. I called Sharri again and she said all was in order and it would be couriered that day.
The courier company, MDS Collivery, provided up to date email alerts as the package was collected as well as a link to track my parcel and an estimated time of delivery which was great.
I received my package at 1pm the next day! The fastest I’ve ever had anything couriered from Johannesburg.
Overall, I would say this was one of the easiest and best online shopping experiences I’ve had yet and would definitely order from them again.
The website is easy to use and provides images as well as descriptions and specifications for each product which some sights seem to forget are important when ordering online. Ordering was easy with the add to cart feature and once you have an account you can review your cart and orders.
Overall The online store is a great way to get things at a good price delivered to your door especially if you don’t enjoy waiting like us. A fairly big assortment of products ranging from juice to starter kits and all the way to RBA and MODS, there really is something for everyone on this store. They also have a really cool rewards point system in place, which you can use to buy products with points when you accumulate enough which is great. The products are great quality and we will be doing reviews on both soon so keep an eye out for that.
